Colourful World

Cowal Open Studios is presenting its largest ever exhibition - "Colourful World" - which displays works from 41 artists and makers.

I am participating and three of my paintings are shown.

The exhibition is in Dunoon Burgh Hall and is open from 6th September to 11th October, Wednesdays through Saturdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.  I really hope you will visit the exhibition and see my paintings along with the works of my colleagues.

Cowal Open Studios

The annual Open Studios Weekend will take place on Friday through Monday 26th to 29th September 2025.

During this weekend a collective of 57 artists and makers will open their studios and/or homes.  There will be 37 different venues to visit in the Cowal peninsula.

My studio and home will be open all four days so people can see where and how I work as well as view some 50 of my paintings hung on the walls of my studio and the adjoining living room, as well as a collection of my hand-painted ceramic coasters. It’s great chance to look at my whole range of artistic work and talk to me about the techniques, working methods, and progress of my painting. It’s also possible to buy (with an Open Studios Weekend discount) whatever catches your eye.

I live in a 19th Century mansion which has been split into flats, and two of my neighbours will also be putting their work on view. So by coming to Venue 24 (Hoop House) you will be able to meet and see the work of three artists: one painter (that’s me!), one maker of jewellery (Carol Savage), and one who creates painted glass (Sarah Woods).  I look forward to welcoming you to my studio.
